In 1999, Krystian Zimerman entrusted him with the function of concertmaster of the viola group of the Polish Festival Orchestra, which he founded to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Frederic Chopin’s death. They performed at the most important concert halls in Europe and the USA and recorded Chopin’s piano concertos for Deutsche Grammophon.
The next stage of gaining professional experience was participation in renowned festivals such as Pacific Music Festival in Japan and Verbier Festival in Switzerland, as well as cooperation with many orchestras in Poland and abroad, including Germany, Japan, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden.
Since 2008 he has been a lecturer at the Chopin University of Music, Faculty of Instrumental and Pedagogy, Artistic Education and Vocal Studies in Białystok, and in the years 2009-2012 also at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
Jakub Grabe-Zaremba’s great passion is chamber music. He won the Grand Prix of the 4th International Krzysztof Penderecki Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Krakow together with the Witold Lutosławski in year 2000. He is currently pursuing this passion as the violist of the Aleksander Tansman Quartet founded together with the concertmasters of the OiFP orchestra in Białystok performing in Poland and abroad.
Since 2008, he has been the concertmaster of the viola group in the orchestra of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, he has performed with many times as a soloist.
