Wojciech Świętoński

Wojciech Świętoński is a graduate of the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the piano class of Professor Bronisława Kawalla (2008). He studied piano chamber music under Professor Jerzy Marchwiński. He completed a two-year Artistic Internship in chamber music performance (2010) and the second and third editions of the Postgraduate Interdepartmental Study of Song (2012, 2013) at the Chopin University of Music. He was awarded a Doctor of Arts degree in 2019.

He is one of three participants in Maestro Ivo Pogorelich’s elite ‘Master Class’. Remaining in constant contact with him, he continuously draws inspiration from the Master’s numerous tips and hints.

Laureate of international piano competitions in Kiev and Rome. He regularly performs in the concert halls of Europe, in recitals and with orchestral accompaniment. He has collaborated with many ensembles (Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra, National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra), performing under the baton of Monika Wolińska, Grzegorz Mielimąka, Tomasz Bugaj and Szymon Kawalla, among others. He actively performed during the celebrations of the Year of Karol Szymanowski and the Year of Fryderyk Chopin. His performances inaugurated the Schuman Parade and the opening of the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Żelazowa Wola.

He performed at festivals such as: Stagione Concertistica (Tropea), International Krakow Composers' Festival, Polish Piano Festival in Slupsk, Sopot Vocal Art Festival, Andrzej Kurylewicz Music Days (Warsaw), Festival of Polish Contemporary Music Musica Polonica Nova in Wroclaw, International Chamber Music Festival 'Music on the Summits' in Zakopane, Jerzy Waldorff Summer Festival in Radziejowice, HART Fest (Oxford), Klavierwoche (Heidelberg).

His recording credits include: Paweł Łukaszewski ‘Musica profana 2’ - the album was nominated for the Fryderyk Award (2019), ‘Wieniec pieśni do słów Marii Konopnickiej’ (Wreath of Song to words by Maria Konopnicka) - the album was made thanks to the support of the Mayor of the City of Warsaw, Stanisław Wisłocki ‘Piano works’ - the album under the patronage of the Rector of the Chopin University of Music, Mikolaj Bugajak ‘Strange Sounds And Inconceivable Deeds’- ‘undoubtedly one of the best albums released in Poland this year’ (onet.pl), Przemysław Gintrowski ‘Tren’ (Threnody) - the album was financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and its release crowned the celebrations of the Year of Zbigniew Herbert.

Member of the Association of Polish Artist Musicians and the STOART Association of Artists. He organizes and performs concerts promoting contemporary Polish music, taking part in programmes realized by the Institute of Music and Dance, the National Centre of Culture and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Scholarship holder of Lions Club (2006, 2007), Mayor of Białystok (2011) and Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2011, 2017, 2020).

Associate artist of the National Philharmonic.

Creator and artistic director of the concert series ‘Moments of Transience’ at the Radziwiłł Palace in Nieborów.

He premiered works written by composers who were teachers at the Chopin University of Music: Weronika Ratusińska, Miłosz Bembinow, Bartosz Kowalski and Paweł Łukaszewski.

He is a promoter of Stanisław Wisłocki’s music.
