Jerzy Romaniuk

Jerzy Romaniuk (born March 26, 1943 in Skierniewice) - Polish professor, pianist and teacher.
He began his musical education at the Music Secondary School in Łódź in the class of Zygmunt Jeśman. Then, in the years 1963-68, he studied with Zbigniew Drzewiecki at the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw (currently the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, previously the F. Chopin Academy of Music). He continued his studies, perfecting his piano skills, with Yakov Zak and Eliso Wirsaladze at the Moscow Conservatory (1969-70).
After returning to Poland in 1971, he started teaching at the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw. He has conducted numerous master classes in Poland and abroad. In 1996 he obtained the title of professor. For his teaching work, he was awarded many times by the rector of the Academy of Music. F. Chopin in Warsaw and the Minister of Culture and Art.
Jerzy Romaniuk conducts intensive concert activities in Poland and abroad. His stage debut took place only a few months after graduating from Warsaw on the stage of the National Philharmonic, playing Johannes Brahms' Piano Concerto in D minor. While studying at the Moscow Conservatory, he gave many concerts and recitals in the Soviet Union. In parallel with his teaching work, he performs on national stages: philharmonic concerts, recitals (including Chopin's in Warsaw and Żelazowa Wola), participation in festivals (including in Warsaw and Słupsk). He went on numerous tours abroad, including: England, Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, France, the former Yugoslavia, Cuba, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Great Britain. Its rich repertoire includes works by the most distinguished composers: Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Gershwin, Haydn, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti, Schubert, Szymanowski and many others.
He records his concert repertoire in archival recordings and on CDs, collaborating with many record companies, including the BBC in London, Radio Hilversum and July-Records in the Netherlands, and domestically - with Polish radio and television. Since 1991, he has been constantly recording with the "DUX" recording group.
