Jolanta Janucik

Jolanta Janucik is a graduate of Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music. She majored in vocal studies and then became an assistant to professor Halina Słonicka. Since 2000 she teaches her own vocal class in the same Academy — now The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Jolanta Janucik made her debut in The National Theatre in Łódź in 1992 singing the part of Neala in Paria by Stanisław Moniuszko. From 1992 to 1994 she cooperated with the Alber Concert Theater in Münich, The National Opera and The Baltic Philharmonic, singing the leading parts in operas by Puccini, Tchaikovsky and Verdi (the premiere of Aida in 1992). Since 1996 she has been cooperating with Landestheater in Coburg (Germany) were she sang the part of Aida in the premiere. She was a soloist of Warszawski Chór Międzyuczelniany and Warszawski Chór Żeński Harfa choirs.

Jolanta Janucik gives numerous vocal master classes in Poland (Warsaw, Nowy Sącz, Suwałki, Teresin, Jarosław, Puck), Ukraine (Cherkasy), France (Bailleul Neuville, Sizeranne), Italy (Venice, Rovigo, Rome, L’Aquila, Ferrara) and Korea (Seoul, Daegu, Gimcheon). She has worked as a vocal consultant for the Choir of the Catholic University of Lublin, Warszawski Chór Międzyuczelniany (Warsaw Inter-University Choir) and the Music High Schools at Nowy Sącz and Suwałki. She has also sat on the jury of numerous vocal competitions (Poland, Ukraine).

She has made numerous recordings for the Polish National Radio and Television. Her albums include The Ostrobramska Litany by Stanisław Moniuszko, Cantate pour la paix by B. Lallemant, Gospodi pomiluj, Torna a Suriento.

In the academic years of 2000–2001, 2009–2010, 2014–2015 and 2015–2016 she taught a vocal class (as a professor) at Keimyung-Chopin Academy of Music in Daegu (Korea).

Numerous students of her vocal class at The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw have been prizewinners of vocal competitions both in Poland and abroad. Concerts given by her students are very popular and highly recognized not only in Warsaw.

Jolanta Janucik was awarded with a prize by the president of The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music for her teaching achievements (2007) and the “Zasłużony dla kultury polskiej” badge of merit by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2011), for her service to the Polish culture.
