He has played concerts in Europe, Asia (China and Japan) and America. He has performed with such artists as: Krzysztof Penderecki, Witold Lutosławski, Jerzy Semkow, Kazimierz Kord, Marc Minkowski, Charles Dutoit, Montserrat Caballé, José Cura, Barbara Hendrix, Ben Heppner, Michel Ponti, Placido Domingo, Renée Fleming, or Piotr Beczała.
Henryk Mikołajczyk has made numerous recordings onto CDs and for radio and television in Poland and abroad. He has collaborated with the following orchestras: National Philharmonic, Polish Radio and Television, Sinfonia Varsovia and Warsaw Symphony Orchestra. The ensembles he has performed with are: Ars Nova, Camerata Vistula and Warsaw Chamber Opera. He is a member of the Warsaw Percussion Group and the chamber music ensemble of the National Philharmonic called ‘Warsaw Brass’. He founded the ensemble known as The TW-ON Percussion Group.
Since 1984 he has pursued vivid teaching activity. He educated many laureates of national and international competitions. In the period of 1984–2012 he taught percussion playing at the Karol Szymanowski Complex of State Music Schools in Warsaw. Currently he teaches percussion class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Department of Instrumental and Educational Studies in Białystok and Department of Instrumental Studies in Warsaw. He runs courses, workshops and seminars. He sits on a jury at percussion competitions.
