Artistic and Research Activities
The Chair’s research encompasses a broad range of topics, including musical acoustics, psychoacoustics, sound quality assessment methodologies, room acoustics, and timbral ear training. Chair members have led numerous research projects, including grants awarded by the Committee for Scientific Research and the National Science Centre, as well as acoustic projects for cultural institutions. Members of the Chair actively engage in both Polish and international scientific committees and societies, such as the Committee on Acoustics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Acoustical Society, the Audio Engineering Society, and the Acoustical Society of America.
The Chair members are also deeply involved in artistic projects focusing on electroacoustic music production, sound projection, and the integration of multimedia technology in the arts. They organise the Multimedia Spring Picnic at the Chopin University of Music—an annual event showcasing audio installations, virtual reality projects, audiovisual works, and performance art.
Furthermore, faculty members participate in prestigious multimedia exhibitions, such as the WRO Media Art Biennale, and contribute to artistic productions at the Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
